Yasser Wali

Professor and the Head of the Pediatric Haematology Unit,
Child Health Department in Sultan Qaboos University Hospital and the program
director of the Pediatric Education Committee in Oman Medical Specialty Board
(OMSB) responsible for training of Omani Pediatricians throughout Oman.
• Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University in 1984 with
Honours. He was trained in Alexandria Children’s University Hospital and cleared
his Masters and Doctorate Degrees in Paediatrics (MM and MD of Paediatrics)
from the same university in 1994.
• He gained his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP)
certification in 1998 and was elected as a Fellow of the Royal College of
Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) in 2005.
• He has a special interest in
Pediatric Haematology and Oncology and his clinical services extend to all the
Arabian Gulf area in his field.
• He is actively involved as a trainer and examiner for the MD, Diploma of Child
Health (DCH) (Glasgow), MRCPCH (UK) and examinations in the Gulf region and
is highly committed towards the improvement and
development of Pediatric Undergraduate and Post Graduate teaching and
training programs.
